By creating an account or using WoodFireERD (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by WoodFireTech ("we", "us").
You sign in with an email address. A paid subscription gives you access to the paid features for as long as it is active. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
A paid subscription lets you download the Windows application together with a licence file issued to your account and bound to one machine, for as long as the subscription lasts. Issuing a licence for another machine replaces the previous one. Use of the application is governed by the licence agreement included with it, which is consistent with these Terms.
We own the Service and the software behind it, including its source code, its diagram engine and its designs, and all intellectual property rights in them. Your subscription grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service while it is active. It does not transfer ownership of anything, and we reserve every right we have not expressly granted here.
What you make with it is yours. The schemas you read, the diagrams you arrange, the project files you save and the migration scripts you generate belong to you, and we claim no rights over them.
You may not resell, rent, share or sub-licence access or your licence file; work around the licence check or the machine binding; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Service, except to the extent the law expressly permits and you cannot agree otherwise; remove any notice in it; or use it to break the law or to read a database you are not authorised to read.
The Service reads the structure of a database — tables, columns, keys, indexes and the text of views, procedures, functions and triggers. It does not read the rows in your tables, and has no feature that would.
On the website, the server address and credentials you type are used for that one read and then discarded: they are never written to a saved project and never stored by us. An uploaded DACPAC is written to a temporary file on the server, read, and deleted. The schema itself is held only while your session lasts. On the Windows application, all of this happens on your own machine and reaches us not at all.
You are responsible for having the right to read any database you connect to, and for reviewing every migration script before you run it. See the Privacy Policy for what we hold and why.
The Service includes third-party components under their own licences, including Microsoft "Distributable Code". These are provided as is; Microsoft and its suppliers disclaim all liability for them, and you agree to terms protecting them and Microsoft at least as much as these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. If a consumer guarantee applies and we fail to meet it, and the failure is a major failure, you are entitled to the remedies the law gives you.
Subject to that, the Service is provided "as is": we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law permits, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited, at our option, to resupplying the Service or refunding what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits or damage caused by running a migration script.
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects you we will say so before it takes effect; continued use after that means you accept it. Access ends if your subscription lapses or if you breach these Terms. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of Australia have jurisdiction over any dispute. Contact: admin@woodfiretech.com.
