What Free, Pro and Unlimited include, how schema objects are counted, and how to change or cancel your plan.
What each plan includes
Free — schemas of up to 25 objects. Diagram, editors and saved projects.
No migration scripts and no desktop application.
Pro — schemas of up to 300 objects, migration scripts, and the Windows
desktop application.
Unlimited — schemas of any size, migration scripts, and the desktop
application.
Subscriptions are monthly or yearly, with no usage charges, no credits and no limit on how
many databases you connect to. Prices are on the Plans page.
How objects are counted
An object is a table, view, stored procedure or function. Columns, keys, indexes and triggers
are not counted.
As a guide: Microsoft's AdventureWorks sample has 112 objects and needs Pro. A database of
twenty-odd tables fits in Free.
If a schema is over your limit
It is not opened, and you are told how many objects it has and how many your plan allows.
This applies to a live database, a DACPAC, a project file and a refresh.
On Free, Pending changes tells you that migration scripts need a paid plan, and the
Download page offers no installer.
The desktop application uses the same limits as your plan.
Changing plan
Upgrade or downgrade from the Plans page. The new plan starts
immediately and the old one runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Nothing is
refunded.
While you hold both, you get whichever plan allows more.
Cancel from Billing. It shows the date your access runs to.
After that date your account returns to Free.
